There are two types of materials for generator radiator, copper and aluminum. Copper radiator has the functions of heat preservation and heat dissipation, but the heat dissipation is slower, and it is more expensive. While the aluminum radiator dissipates heat faster, but it is easy to oxidize.Copper is better in heat dissipation effect, but the cost is high.Processing is also more difficult.
Aluminum radiator has faster heat dissipation and large heat dissipation capacity, copper is the opposite.Copper is relatively better in thermal conductivity. If the temperature is high, aluminum radiator is more likely to be oxidized, which will affect heat dissipation performance.
In terms of thermal conductivity alone, copper is indeed much faster than aluminum, but aluminum is faster than copper in heat dissipation. If you choose a copper radiator, you need to increase the speed and power of the fan to achieve the same heat dissipation effect as aluminum. Therefore, for most ordinary diesel generator users, the first choice is aluminum fin radiator. Only in some high-end diesel generators will consider copper radiators.
